I am a mother of two boys.  I do not work for a company or any institution that garners me a paycheck.  I have a husband who works harder than he should.  We have one dog.   I live in the upper Midwest and always have. I am a yogi, a daily-ish meditator, a crafter of different sorts, an involved public school and preschool mom and a woman with a very vibrant marriage and social life trying to face daily the challenge to remain balanced.  I love art, music, and cooking, but not necessarily in that order.  In fact, I think that you really cannot have one without the other, or maybe that they are all one in the same.  I am a huge organic food proponent.  I worry about the environment and how conventional agriculture has changed our connection with the earth and our bodies. I am a political junkie.  I work on campaigns and abandon my family for weeks on end about every two years to push forth an agenda of common sense in a world full of … well, in a world full of too many problems to enumerate or think about.    I am cautiously optomistic about the Obama Administration and at times I am over the moon with joy.  You can reach me here: marshamama@charter.net
